As companies scale, maintaining a high talent bar becomes difficult. The hiring process is often scattered, inefficient, and takes a toll on the entire team.

We are building the AI-native ATS for agent-driven hiring. Needle helps every company build and keep a high talent bar.

Needle uses specialised agents to handle the admin parts of the hiring process - sourcing, coordination, and outreach - allowing hiring managers to spend more high-quality time with candidates. Needle agents incorporate the skills and knowledge to help companies set up hiring processes that follow best practices.

Unlike traditional ATS platforms, Needle is built to live inside Slack and Claude, sparing teams from learning confusing, clunky interfaces.

We raised a $1.3M pre-seed round from tier-1 investors and angels from companies like Google, DeepMind, and unicorn startup founders.

About the Role

We're looking for a Founder's Associate (intern) to work directly alongside our founders as a true right hand - someone who can plug into any part of the business, move fast, and make things happen.

This isn't a structured programme or a defined role. It's a unique opportunity to be at the centre of building a company that's changing how hiring works. You'll work on whatever matters most: customer success and growth one week, product strategy the next, then operations, partnerships, or hiring. You'll have real ownership and real impact from day one - without a layer of management between you and the founders.

What You'll Do

  • Work directly with CEO/CTO on the company's most important and time-sensitive priorities

  • Own projects end-to-end - from identifying the problem to shipping the solution

  • Drive operational excellence: build processes, create structure, and keep things moving

  • Support go-to-market efforts including customer conversations, sales cycles, and partnerships

  • Conduct research and synthesise insights to inform product and business decisions

  • Help recruit and scale the team as Needle grows

  • Be a thought partner on strategy, product direction, and company building

What We're Looking For

  • 1–3 years of experience in a high-performance environment (top-tier consulting, VC, startup, or similar)

  • Exceptional generalist - smart, fast, and able to pick up new domains quickly

  • Strong bias to action: you figure things out and get them done without hand-holding

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities - you see that as a feature, not a bug

  • High ownership mindset: you treat problems like they're yours to solve

  • Entrepreneurial spirit - ideally, you've built or tried to build something yourself

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience at an early-stage startup or in a founder-facing role

  • Exposure to B2B SaaS, HR tech, or recruiting

  • Familiarity with AI tools and a genuine curiosity about where the technology is going
