Katalyze AI is a fast-growing AI-driven platform. We are on a mission to make life-saving drugs accessible and affordable for every individual. Katalyze Agents help pharmaceutical and biotech companies increase their scientists' and engineers' productivity by 10-100X. We're a team of fast-moving, curious craftspeople working at the intersection of science
As Chief of Staff at Katalyze AI, you will be the operational core of our executive function — working directly alongside our CEO, Reza Farahani, to ensure the company runs with precision, speed, and strategic clarity. This is not a traditional CoS role: you will own critical customer relationships, represent the CEO externally when he is unavailable, and spearhead automation initiatives that amplify the output of every team at Katalyze AI.
You'll sit at the intersection of strategy, operations, and customer success — bridging internal execution with external representation. You'll be trusted to make decisions, move fast, and hold the organization accountable to its goals. With 3–5 years of experience under your belt, you're someone who has seen how high-performing companies operate and is ready to help shape one.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, is obsessed with systems and efficiency, and can earn trust with enterprise clients and C-suite stakeholders alike.
Represent the CEO in meetings, calls, and communications when Reza is unavailable — maintaining continuity with customers, partners, and stakeholders
Own and nurture key customer relationships — act as a trusted point of contact for strategic accounts, ensuring satisfaction, expansion, and advocacy
Drive automation initiatives across internal workflows — identify manual processes and build or oversee tools that eliminate friction and scale operations
Manage executive cadence — prepare the CEO for key meetings, draft communications, and ensure follow-through on action items
Lead cross-functional projects — coordinate between product, engineering, sales, and customer success to drive company-wide priorities
Track company OKRs and KPIs — maintain visibility into business performance and flag risks or opportunities early
Support fundraising and board activities — prepare materials, coordinate logistics, and manage follow-up for investor interactions
Handle strategic initiatives — take on special projects that require judgment, discretion, and a senior-level lens
3–5 years of experience in operations, strategy, chief of staff, management consulting, investment banking, or a high-growth startup environment
Proven ability to manage and grow customer relationships with enterprise or B2B clients
Strong background or demonstrated interest in automation — familiarity with tools like Zapier, Make, n8n, or building lightweight internal tooling
Exceptional communication skills — you can write a crisp exec summary and also hold a room in a client call
High executive presence and comfort representing leadership externally
Extremely organized with strong project management instincts
Ability to operate with discretion, handle sensitive information, and exercise sound judgment
Comfortable in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment where priorities shift quickly
Experience in life sciences, pharma, biotech, or regulated industries
Exposure to AI/ML products or SaaS platforms
Background in business operations at a Series A–C startup
Experience working directly with a founder or C-suite executive
