As a Founding Engineer, you sit at the intersection of our two most technical tracks: the product ownership of a Product Engineer and the technical leadership of our Lead AI Engineer. You'll take customer problems all the way from discovery to production — while also helping set the technical direction, practices and culture of the engineering team as we scale.
This is a rare early-stage seat: you're not just shipping features, you're helping decide how the team builds, hires and works together. Expect real ownership, fast iteration, and a direct hand in shaping both the product and the company behind it.
Own product areas end-to-end: talk to customers, decide what's worth building, design the solution, and ship it across the stack.
Work at the intersection of AI, complex data and thoughtful interfaces — building agent-powered features people rely on.
Contribute to shared technical foundations — context handling, tool use, evaluations — that make the whole team faster.
Set technical direction and raise the engineering bar as one of the first engineers on the team.
Help shape team culture: how we hire, review code, communicate, and hold the bar on quality while shipping fast.
Use AI coding tools with judgement — you can explain, verify and improve what they produce.
Move fast without breaking trust: ship daily, learn from real usage, and keep raising the standard.
You've personally shipped and owned production software for real users, ideally end-to-end.
Strong engineering foundations across frontend, backend and databases; our stack is TypeScript, React/Next.js, Postgres/Supabase, Vercel and Python.
You've taken on ownership beyond code — technical direction, process, or team practices — at a small or early-stage team.
You use AI tools with curiosity and the technical judgement to verify what they produce.
You communicate clearly, take initiative, and enjoy figuring things out directly with customers and teammates.
Experience with LLM-powered systems or agent execution (tool use, context management, evaluations, sandboxes, building harnesses, orchestrating subagents, ...).
Prior experience as an early or founding engineer at a startup.
Procurement, enterprise SaaS or B2B data-heavy product experience.
