As Lead Data Platform Engineer, you’ll own the data foundation behind Delvo—from connecting enterprise systems to powering the analyses customers use to make decisions.
The problems are technical and commercial: How do we turn inconsistent ERP data into a trustworthy picture of spend? Compare prices across suppliers and business units? Let customers explore what happens when volumes, costs, or supplier allocations change?
You’ll set the technical direction and build it yourself. Your scope spans our multi-tenant architecture, data infrastructure, ingestion pipelines, and analytical capabilities. Working directly with the founders, product engineers, and customer IT teams, you’ll decide what we need today and what will carry us through the next stage of growth.
Build the data engine behind Delvo. Shape our multi-tenant architecture and shared data models so customer information stays isolated, trustworthy, and fast to query as we scale.
Turn messy data into better decisions. Build the cleaning, reconciliation, and calculation foundations for spend analysis, meaningful benchmarks, and simulations across suppliers, categories, and time. Make complex questions quick to answer—and the numbers easy to trust.
Make enterprise connectivity repeatable. Work directly with customer IT teams to connect ERP systems, establish access, and understand their data. Choose the right synchronization approach and turn each integration into capabilities we can reuse.
Build a platform the team can move on. Own ingestion, orchestration, monitoring, and recovery. Create tools that make onboarding data, investigating problems, and shipping new analytical features faster every day.
We stay at the forefront of AI-powered engineering. You’ll help keep us there by experimenting with new tools, automating repetitive work, and improving how the whole team builds.
You’ve built and operated substantial data systems in production, with ownership of architecture, implementation, and the problems that emerge at scale.
You’re strong in SQL, Python, data modelling, and query optimization. You can translate complex business rules into correct, efficient analytical workloads.
You’ve worked with multi-tenant systems and understand data isolation, access controls, and the trade-offs between shared infrastructure and customer-specific needs.
You’ve connected enterprise systems and can hold a productive technical conversation with customer IT teams about schemas, permissions, APIs, exports, and synchronization.
You combine senior technical judgement with execution speed. You know when a simple solution is enough, when to invest in a foundation, and how to bring others along.
You take initiative, communicate clearly, and use AI tools thoughtfully to expand what you and your team can deliver.
Experience in B2B SaaS, fintech, or data-intensive enterprise products is particularly relevant. Procurement experience is helpful, but curiosity and the ability to learn a domain matter more.
You want the responsibility of building something early. You can take an ambiguous customer problem, give it structure, and turn it into working software without waiting for a detailed brief.
Some days you’ll make an architectural decision. Others you’ll debug an import with a customer or write the calculation a product engineer needs to ship. You enjoy that range, move with urgency, and follow through when the work gets messy.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role. Your influence comes from sound decisions, what you ship, and how much more effective you make the people around you.
