Als Labortechniker/in (CTA/MTA/BTA) an unserem Standort in Dortmund bist du das operative Herzstück unseres LC-MS/MS-Teams in Europa. Das ist keine reine Routineposition — du verantwortest den Probenworkflow vom Eingang bis zur Messung, sorgst dafür, dass unsere Prozesse sauber dokumentiert und kontinuierlich verbessert werden. Deine Arbeit ermöglicht direkt die Biomarker-Einblicke, die wir an Profisportvereine und leistungsstarke Organisationen in ganz Europa liefern.
Du arbeitest selbstständig im Laboralltag und stehst gleichzeitig in engem Kontakt mit unseren Wissenschaftlerinnen und der Laborleitung — löst technische Herausforderungen im laufenden Betrieb, wartest Instrumente und trägst zu den Qualitätsstandards bei, die Biolyz ausmachen.
Probenannahme, -vorbereitung und -bearbeitung nach SOP (Aliquotierung, Verdünnung, Extraktion, Filtration) mit automatisierten Liquid-Handler-Workflows
Routinewartung, Kalibrierung und Funktionschecks von Liquid Handlern und Laborgeräten
Genaue Dokumentation aller Laboraktivitäten: Messprotokolle, Wartungslogs, Abweichungen und CAPA-Maßnahmen gemäß internen Qualitätsstandards
Mitarbeit an SOP-Entwicklung, Prozessverbesserungen und Labororganisation (Reagenzienverwaltung, Bestandsführung, Ordnung)
Abgeschlossene Ausbildung als CTA (Chemisch-Technischer Assistent), BTA (Biologisch-Technischer Assistent), MTA (Medizinisch-Technischer Assistent) oder vergleichbar
2–5+ Jahre praktische Erfahrung im Routinebetrieb eines Labors (Probenworkflow, Messbetrieb, QC)
Fundierte praktische Kenntnisse in der Probenvorbereitung und kontaminationsarmem Arbeiten (Carryover- und Kontaminationsmanagement)

Biolyz is a full-stack saliva-based biomarker testing company on a mission to accelerate access to biomarker analytics for all humans, globally. We offer a non-invasive testing solution whereby athletes and coaches simply use a cotton swab to collect saliva, which we analyze via mass spectrometry within 48 hours across 60+ biomarkers covering stress, recovery, metabolism, and inflammation. As a Laboratory Technician (CTA/MTA/BTA) at our Dortmund site, you'll be at the operational core of our LC-MS/MS team in Europe. This isn't a routine lab role — you'll own the sample workflow from receipt to measurement, keeping our processes clean, documented, and continuously improving. Your work directly enables the biomarker insights we deliver to professional sports clubs and high-performance organizations across Europe.
You'll work independently on day-to-day lab operations while staying closely connected to our scientists and lab leadership — solving technical challenges in real time, maintaining instruments, and contributing to the quality standards that define Biolyz's output.
Receive, prepare, and process samples following SOPs (aliquoting, dilution, extraction, filtration) using automated liquid handler workflows
Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and functional checks on liquid handlers and lab equipment
Document all lab activity accurately: measurement logs, maintenance records, deviations, and CAPA actions in line with internal quality standards
Contribute to SOP development, process improvements, and lab organization (reagent management, inventory, housekeeping)
Completed qualification as CTA (Chemisch-Technischer Assistent), BTA (Biologisch-Technischer Assistent), MTA (Medizinisch-Technischer Assistent), or equivalent
2–5+ years of hands-on experience in routine lab operations (sample workflow, measurement, QC)
Solid practical skills in sample preparation and contamination-aware working (carryover and contamination management)
Experience in quality-regulated lab environments with clean SOP documentation
Ability to work independently, troubleshoot routine issues, and escalate appropriately
Strong attention to detail, structured work style, and reliable documentation habits
Good communication skills in German and English
Hands-on experience with LC-MS/MS instruments, particularly SCIEX QTRAP systems
Experience operating or programming automated liquid handlers
Familiarity with LIMS platforms
